This has been the issue for several versions of Adobe Illustrator and has yet to see a permanent fix. However, all is not lost. Since I’ve been using Google Chrome, which I absolutely love, I have a problem with being able to continue writing an email after uploading an attachment. After uploading an attachment, I simply cannot click within the email box to continue writing. This is only in Google Chrome, with Google Mail… which means that this is an ultimate fail.

Does anyone else have this issue?

In late 2009 Google Adwords began banning my ad campaigns for my affiliate marketing sites. It really crippled my income as I was relying primarily on Google Adwords to promote my affiliate sites. At the time my merchant managers thought I was crazy and Google gave very vague explanations for why they dropped my campaigns. The affiliate sites that were dropped from the Adwords Campaign were in my opinion, very high quality as far as affiliate sites go. I don’t get into cheesy get-rich-quick schemes. Instead, I try to provide high quality information to my visitors regarding automotive type products and services.

PPC Blog posted a good article on Affiliates and Google Adwords in 2010, and proved that I wasn’t crazy. Apparently Google removed some 30,000 different advertisers campaigns. Ouch!

Anyways, the article provides some useful information on what Affiliates can do to earn Google’s trust. Though Google will not spell it out for you (just as in SEO), it really all comes down to what is best for the end user. Geordie does a good job of summarizing this at the end of the article with this statement:

“It’s not what you think is “enough for Google”.  It’s about unique site features actual users would give a crap about.  If your site was removed from the web, would anybody notice? Would anybody care?   If you didn’t own your site, would you visit it or buy anything off of it?  Why would you recommend your site to a friend?”

The last few months I’ve had a problem where the paper in my Martin Yale 1217A paper folder appears to bypass one or both of the bumpers in the folding process. I couldn’t figure out why! Multiple times I took the machine apart, cleaned everything, and put it back together only to have the paper folder jam up on me again. After emailing a Martin Yale tech (they’ve always been super helpful even though I have an older used model), he explained that this sort of problem can be caused by the paper being too hot, too freshly printed. It sounded silly but the next time I had a folding job I let the freshly printed paper sit overnight before the folding process. To my amazement it worked! It totally makes sense to me now, the paper is so much more thin and flexible feeling after being printed that the rollers on the paper folder can’t properly grab. The paper needs to cool to regain some thickness, stiffness and grip.

If you have been beating your head against a brick wall with this issue, try letting your paper cool and see I’d that helps.

Today’s project: truckbedmat.org. I was researching automotive products the other night, trying to figure out another domain name that could have the same amount of success as my Truck Bumpers website. Also, truck bed mats happen to be somewhat related to my floor mats website. Ideally, I would like to dominate the area of floor mats, truck bed mats, and cargo liners.

Recently I decided to refurbish my Husky Floor Liners site. Through some keyword research, I figured out that the term floor mats is more popular than the term floor liners. At the time I had husky-floor-liners.com and floor-liners.com, so I decided to merge the 2 sites into one ultra floor mat and liner site. So far I have not made any sales, but sales have been slow lately anyways. I think in the long term the site will do much better since I will be able to link back and forth between articles and product pages and build a massive car, truck and suv floor liners and mats website.

With the merging of the 2 sites, I’m now able to promote Husky Liners and WeatherTech (the 2 top brands) as well as Lloyd Liners, Hexomat, Nifty Liners, Intro-Tech, Rugged Ridge Liners and more.

I was recently in desperate need of updating Quickbooks. I have been using Quickbooks Pro 2007, and this last month, Quickbooks finally shut off the feature that allowed me to email invoices.
