QUICKBOOKS 2009 FOR MAC DOWNLOADI purchased Quickbooks Pro for Mac 2009 today. I was very disappointed with the 2008 version of Quickbooks for Mac, so I have been running the 2008 version of Quickbooks Pro for Windows using Paralells. The 2007/2008 version of Quickbooks Pro for Mac was a dry wasteland compared to the PC version. When I called to find out where all the features went for 2008 QB Pro for Mac, the response they gave was that the Mac version had about 20 developers, whereas the PC version had about 200. Made sense. Even 1.5 years ago when I first started using Apple computers, they were still not that popular. Now with Apple having close to a 10% market share, it seems like everyone has one.

Anyways, as far as the 2009 version of Quckbooks Pro for Mac, I LOVE it. Has just about every feature that the previous PC version had, with a few new toys. The interface is beautiful and makes me want to do the books all day long. It even assures me that my PC accountant will be able to read it just fine during tax season with the “Backup as Quickbooks for Windows” button.

The only complaint…the ONLY complaint that I have about Quickbooks Pro 2009 for Mac is that the old transfer funds feature is disappeared and is now replaced with a feature called “Make a Journal Entry”. Entering bank account transfers used to be way easier, and used to be my favorite part about doing the books. At least when you are transfering money from one account to another, your not giving it to the bills or the IRS, or at least not directly.

Anyways, I highly recommend getting the new Quickbooks Pro 2009 for Mac. With the huge increase in people using Mac’s over Windows computers, I think we will see Quickbooks Pro for Mac get even better and better.
