This has been the issue for several versions of Adobe Illustrator and has yet to see a permanent fix. However, all is not lost. Jay shows us how to bring the color pallet back when Illustrator randomly decides that you don’t need it.

Thanks Jay for this helpful article!

I have been using Quickbooks Pro 2007, and this last month, Quickbooks finally shut off the feature that allowed me to email invoices. That bummed me out, I was hoping to get another 5 years on that version of Quickbooks. I wasn’t too happy about spending $199 on a new copy of Quickbooks, but then I found this coupon link that automatically knocked off $40! It’s basically a 20% off coupon.

Here it is: Quickbooks 20% Discount

$40 savings for me is equivalent to taking my wife to a nice dinner, going to the movies twice, buying a new game for the WII, 2 Blue Ray’s (even though I don’t own any)…

So click on the link, or click on the banner that I embedded in the post. Let me know how much this link saved you in the comments below!

I was very disappointed with the 2008 version of Quickbooks for Mac, so I have been running the 2008 version of Quickbooks Pro for Windows using Paralells. The 2007/2008 version of Quickbooks Pro for Mac was a dry wasteland compared to the PC version. When I called to find out where all the features went for 2008 QB Pro for Mac, the response they gave was that the Mac version had about 20 developers, whereas the PC version had about 200. Made sense. Even 1.5 years ago when I first started using Apple computers, they were still not that popular. Now with Apple having close to a 10% market share, it seems like everyone has one.

Anyways, as far as the 2009 version of Quckbooks Pro for Mac, I LOVE it. Has just about every feature that the previous PC version had, with a few new toys. The interface is beautiful and makes me want to do the books all day long. It even assures me that my PC accountant will be able to read it just fine during tax season with the “Backup as Quickbooks for Windows” button.

The only complaint…the ONLY complaint that I have about Quickbooks Pro 2009 for Mac is that the old transfer funds feature is disappeared and is now replaced with a feature called “Make a Journal Entry”. Entering bank account transfers used to be way easier, and used to be my favorite part about doing the books. At least when you are transfering money from one account to another, your not giving it to the bills or the IRS, or at least not directly.

Anyways, I highly recommend getting the new Quickbooks Pro 2009 for Mac. With the huge increase in people using Mac’s over Windows computers, I think we will see Quickbooks Pro for Mac get even better and better.
